Organized by Amaury Sport Organization (ASO), this tour was started by a newspaper – L’Auto and is one of the prestigious cycling races. It is the proven fact since 1903! Tour de France with two other road bicycle races, together makes up the ‘Grand Tours’. It is the second time, UCI World Tour race chosen Brussels & Belgium the fifth time.

2019 Tour de France is a 23 days long road bicycle race with a total of 21 massive stages, spread throughout the racing track. The opening stage will loop to Brussels from Charleroi to connect Flanders and Wallonia regions. The riders have to cover a distance of 3,460 kilometers to complete the race. As per the statistics, 176 riders have been registered for tour de France 2019 so far.

This year’s route is designed in a way that it visits Binche, Saint-Die-des-Vosges and Pont du Gard for the first time as stage cities. To your surprise, the highest paved pass in Europe, Col de I’Iseran will feature on stage 19 this year. It is the seventh time that Tour de France will climb the highest paved pass.
